We'll tell you as soon as tickets go on sale:

Dancer and choreographer Boris Charmatz has been subverting forms of dance and movement for over fifteen years. Director since 2009 of the Rennes and Britanny National Choreographic Centre, he maintains an extensive touring schedule, working on improvised pieces on a regular basis while also continuing his work as a performer with Tino Sehgal and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.

Having previously presented work at Tate Modern and the Hayward Gallery, for Charmatz’s Sadler’s Wells debut he presents the UK premiere of new workenfant. This creation explores an innovative style of choreography, utilising inert bodies, the relationship between muscular energy and movement, featuring a cast of nine adult dancers, twelve children and a musician.

A strange, numb ballet unfolds, in which traditional relationships become reversed and borders blur between young and old, professionals and amateurs, the living and the dead.
