Itzik Galili’s party piece for Rambert returns to Sadler’s Wells for a percussion-fuelled carnival of dance. 28 dancers, four samba drummers and a dazzling light show contribute to its infectious energy. Rising star Ben Duke’s dance theatre creation is inspired by the music and spirit of Nina Simone, with a selection of her best loved songs performed live on stage.
Rambert needs no introduction. They are an institution in UK dance and a byword for innovative, imaginative and seminal work. This programme was no exception; with a trio of pieces which revived A Linha Curva and showcased two new pieces: Symbiosis and Goat.
